Privacy policy
We take your personal privacy very seriously and do everything we can to protect it.
Our goal is also to make it clear what information we collect and how it is used when you use our services.
We try to keep this policy as easy to understand as possible. If you have any questions about privacy or privacy issues, do not hesitate to contact us.
Information collected
Many of our services have the basic function of sharing information, and therefore the collection of personal and potentially sensitive information is of course an important part. In addition to this, we also collect information for the purpose of improving our services and analyzing how they are used.
We collect information in two ways:
Information provided by you
When you use certain of our services, you provide information that is then stored. For example, you enter personal information such as your name and email address when you create a new account.
Automatically collected information
We also collect information that your device (browser, computer, or smartphone) automatically provides. For example:
“Cookies” and anonymous identifiers
We use various technologies, including so-called cookies, to collect and store information when you visit our website or use our services. This includes sending a cookie or other anonymous identifier to your browser or device.
Logging
When you use our services or visit our website, certain information is automatically stored in the server log files. This may include:
Your IP address.
Your approximate position (based on IP address).
Device information such as the type of browser/client application, language settings, error logs, date, and time of call, etc.
Cookies that can be used to uniquely identify your browser.
Position
When you use a positioning service, we collect and manage information about your actual position. This information can come from the GPS in your phone, which can be accurate enough to indicate your position within a few meters. We can also use other positioning services on your device, e.g., position based on network devices nearby.
How we use the information
Our services allow you to send personal and potentially sensitive information to us and then share that information with others. We use information solely to be able to offer you the functionality of our services.
Examples of such use:
Your name, email address, and phone number can be shared with other users so they can quickly and easily contact you from our smartphone application.
Information about you and what you have done within the framework of an assignment or a time report can be shared with others so that your organization can coordinate work.
Your position and where you have been can be stored so that you can see your trail (where you have been) later. You can also share this information with others.
We do not disclose any personal information to any third party without your consent (which you can give by, for example, inviting another user or sending an email from the service). An exception to this is if we are forced to disclose information because of laws or an ongoing legal process.
Sometimes our employees, partners, or suppliers may need temporary access to personal information when we provide support or troubleshoot and develop. In these cases, we are very careful and the information does not leave our own IT environment.
Automatically collected information is used to improve our services and analyze the use of services. This information is primarily anonymous (cannot be used to personally identify you) and may be shared with our partners/suppliers who help us with the analysis.
Choosing what is shared
We try to be as clear as possible about what information is collected and to give you as much control as possible over what is shared with whom. Our services have quite detailed choices for this. Before inviting users or creating accounts for others (and thus sharing information with them), we ask you to familiarize yourself with the privacy and sharing settings provided. If you are unsure of how the settings work or what is shared with whom, please contact us.
Collection of cookies can be turned off by blocking cookies in your browser.
Please note, however, that some or all features of our services may then cease to work.
Your position is not collected if you turn off the GPS and location services on your smartphone.
Access, change, and delete information
Our goal is for it to be easy to create, access, change, and delete all personal information. If you find that we have personal information that is not correct or cannot be corrected/deleted, please contact us.
When you delete information, we may not immediately completely delete the information in systems and its backup. This is to protect your information from being accidentally or deliberately destroyed. If you want us to completely delete all personal information about you, you can apply for this by contacting us.
Information security
We take information security very seriously and do everything we can to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, dissemination, or destruction of information. Among other things by:
The communication with our services can be encrypted using SSL.
We offer authentication via OpenID and Google accounts, which in turn offer 2-factor authentication.
We regularly review our technology and information collection, storage, and security routines.
A backup of all user data is regularly made to physically separate locations.
Application
This policy applies to all our services, including:
Our website
Our web applications and API
Our smartphone applications.
The policy does not apply to services provided by other organizations/individuals, even if they are interconnected with our services or their content is displayed inside one of our applications.
Changes
Updates to this policy can happen and will be reflected on this page. If we make major changes, we notify our users by email. We will not restrict your rights in this policy without your consent.
