More efficient sustainability reporting with BEAst in Coredination
BEAst Supply 4.0 is an industry standard for digital delivery notes and reporting of environmental and climate data from transport, machinery and bulk materials. The Swedish Transport Administration began imposing BEAst requirements in early 2025, but many projects in 2025 have nevertheless been exempt from the requirement. Going forward, the requirement will become stricter, and more clients will impose BEAst requirements in new projects.
In Coredination, you can automatically create BEAst reports, which are sent through the Peppol network, based on work orders that are reported in the field. The challenge with implementing BEAst Supply 4.0 is that more information needs to be reported more frequently by drivers and machine operators in the field, a challenge that Coredination is trying to solve with smart technology and integrations.
What is BEAst Supply 4.0 – and how does it work in practice?
BEAst is not a system or a portal. It is an agreement on how digital consignment notes should be designed and sent when actors in the construction industry exchange information. This standard makes it possible to report, for example, fuel consumption digitally – in a uniform format, via a uniform network.
There are essentially two ways forward for hauliers, transporters, truck centres and depots that have been required to send BEAst delivery notes. Either you plan and report orders/jobs in a BEAst-compatible transport management system, or you supplement your current system with a standalone "support system" for sending BEAst messages. Coredination can be used in both scenarios.
If you already plan and report transport using Coredination, you can easily activate BEAst and Peppol. BEAst reports are then created automatically based on the information already in the system and sent when a job is certified. If you would rather use Coredination as a standalone solution, simply give our app to your drivers and engineers, and you're ready to start BEAst reporting.
Standard data or connected vehicles – the choice is yours
Right now, the Swedish Transport Administration accepts reports based on standard calculations. But there's a clear trend towards higher demands on data quality and traceability – which means that primary data from vehicles will be a requirement in more projects going forward.
With Coredination, you are prepared: you can connect your vehicles directly via the manufacturers' APIs – without installing any new technology in the cars. Or you can report standardised data to begin with. Either way, you are ready to lead the way if you want to.

In addition, the standard consists of mandatory and optional parts, which means that Coredination needs to be configured to match the needs of different customers. The standard comes with a number of requirements, which can also vary somewhat between different customers, and which also have a major impact on your working methods.
