Every destination is now immediately visible in the drivers' mobile phones
Transporting furniture by bike was unthinkable for most of us for a long time. At least until 2012 when a company was founded in Malmö with an innovative business concept. With flakes behind the bikes, award-winning MOVEBYBiKE is Sweden's greenest haulage.
Johan Wedin, founder of MOVEBYBiKE, talked about the company's startup: “When we came up with the idea of starting a transport company with bicycles as vehicles, a strong drive was ignited to show that it was possible at all.” And possibly it was, five years later there is MOVEBYBiKE in six cities across the country.
During the journey, MOVEBYBiKE has had to solve a number of problems. In 2013, the transport loops had become large enough to meet the need for technical driver support. In connection with this, Johan Wedin came into contact with Coredination.
“Then we sat with a map and planned the loops that turned into KMF files. They were in turn imported into the drivers' mobile phones. Of course, it became unsustainable as the company grew. "
The solution came when MOVEBYBiKE started using Coredination to plan and execute their loops. Each destination is now immediately visible in the drivers' cell phones as they are scheduled into the service. Drivers who are not used to cycling the trail can also show directions to the destinations through the app.
“Since the implementation of Coredination, we have been monitoring where each driver is, where they are going and all transports performed automatically compile supporting documents for invoicing. In addition to good driver support, it is also a great help in the administration, ”explained Johan Wedin.
In addition to the benefit of the service's features, Wedin also highlighted the value of Coredination's open API for communication with their other tools: “The fact that Coredination gives us as a customer the opportunity to retrieve and send data between Coredination and our other applications has enabled us to tailor the business's IT environment."
